Ah... I didn't give him any details or anything. But I told him we had a complicated relationship and issues that resulted from the fallout of a memory with him.

That said, it's fine. Cuz when he asked me about it, it confirmed my thoughts. You really cared about him when he did it, so that's why it stung so much.

I did care about him before. Then he became someone I never wanted anything to do with. And maybe things are different now, but... Mm, it's complicated. Being friends with him feels a lot messier.

To make a long story short, I thought he was bullshitting me until I realized he was making a really awkward attempt to be sincere.
